  • Amscomatic Folding Machine

    Hello,

We are having issues with our folding machine, evey so often the shirt comes out unfolded legnthwise - it seems intermittant and unpredictable. The tucker plate is activating but its not folding the shirt.

The shirt is a 180 gsm cotton tee.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers

    Mike

The first thing to do is check that the lights on your sensors are stable and not flickering. Also give the reflective strips a clean so there is no interference. If that is all ok check as the shirt passes through the machine that it is not binding and stopping after the first set of sensors that read the shirt. If you so see the shirt juddering as it passes through give that plates the shirt passes over a good clean and a little polish. Also check at both ends of the large blue belt that runs the length of the machine there are 2 roller bearings. They can wear and move causing them to Seize stoping the belt running smoothly and causing intermittent gold issues.
          Start with as follows

          1) check sensors and reflectors are clean
2 clean and polish the plates
          2) check roller bearings for wear and binding

if its none of those call M&R service and have a tech come look at it as they will check things like the drive motor encoder etc but my guess is some thing like a dirty reflector

hope this helps in some way
